Class: Evie Shawl

This is a great first shawl class that help you look like a very skilled knitter, but in reality there aren't a lot of new things to learn. The order of the colors used really adds to the striking beauty of this piece.

In addition to the general knit stitch, it includes a slip stitch, yarn-over, knit front & back, and knit-2-together.  And if you don't want to weave-in a bunch of edges when you are through, you can carry the yarns not in use up the back side with a simple twist.

This is a two part class, meeting on September 13 & 27 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Isthmus Hat

A simple cap to keep in your coat pocket for nippy mornings or windy walks at the coast, Isthmus comes with options to suit your personal style. Knit a fitted beanie or a slouchy version with garter earflaps and a taller crown. Printed with garter triangles and spangled with a star at the crown, this hat is a quick knit in Brooklyn Tweed Quarry.

If you haven't worked from a chart before, this is a great class to start learning that skill!

Classes: Wednesday, October 9 - 3:00-5:00 p.m. OR Thursday, October 17, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Together Apart Cowl

Another great pattern from Jessica Ays of Double The Stitches!  Her Together Apart Cowl is a design dreamed up back during the world of social distancing and missing the ones she love dearly.

The pattern uses simple, meditative, slipped stitches to create the texture and blending of colors. It’s a quick and easy knit, with soothing stockinette rows, and enough varying in the stitches to keep a knitter’s interest.

This is a two part class, meeting Friday October 11 & 18 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Aran Basket

This 6.5" wide x 4" high basket is a gorgeous cable knit inspired by the Aran sweater fishermen wore off the western coast of Ireland. They were more than just a practical garment, however, with the maker knitting ancient patterns reflective of the Celtic culture.

Bow Tie Keyhole Scarf

This cozy little scarf is one of my favorites and is the perfect addition to keep you warm in the cold weather. It fits nicely in the neck of your coat and lays smoothly thanks to the keyhole loop opening that eliminates bulkiness. It’s a quick one-skein project too that knits up fast using garter stitch.

This class meets twice - Friday, December 6 & 13 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
