Class: Truchet's Cowl

Truchet’s Cowl is an interactive colorwork pattern based on the work of Designer and mathematician Sébastien Truchet. Each knitter can make the pattern as shown in the sample, or use the provided colorwork tiles to create an original composition..

The possibilities are nearly infinite.

Homework:  It is recommended that you pick-up your yarn and pattern at least a few days before the class, and complete the initial ribbing prior to class.  This allows you to jump right in on designing and knitting your unique cowl!

Cost of the class includes:

• Pattern (let us know if you would like us to add this to your Ravelry Profile, or email you a copy).
• Yarn - 3 skeins of Sea Change Pelagic Sport, your choice of in stock colors.

Materials needed for this class include:

• US 1 (2.25mm), US 2 (2.75 mm), & US 3 (3.25mm) 16" circular knitting needle or size needed to obtain gauge and/or double pointed needles
• stitch markers in various colors
• scissors
• a tapestry needle
• a tape measure

Recommended skills needed before attempting this class:

• Long tail cast on method, knowing how to knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round, decreasing stitches..  This pattern is charted only, so an intermediate level or higher is suggested.

This is a two-part class, meeting on:

• Saturday, March 29, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
• Saturday, April 12, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
