Knitting Anatomy

Together, we’ll explore the structure of knit and purl stitches, how fabric is formed, how to identify increases and decreases, and how to spot — and fix — common mistakes before they become major problems.

Participants will also gain valuable skills in interpreting pattern instructions, understanding abbreviations and stitch counts, tracking repeats, and recognizing how shaping works within a project. Whether you’ve ever wondered where you are in a pattern, struggled to find a mistake, or wanted to knit more independently, this class will help you feel more empowered and connected to your knitting.

Perfect for adventurous beginners through experienced knitters looking to strengthen their foundational skills, Knitting Anatomy is part technique class, part detective work, and entirely practical. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your knitting — and discover how understanding the “why” behind your stitches can transform the way you knit.

This class meets Saturday, June 6 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Classes are non-refundable, so please check your calendar to make sure you can make each meeting.  If something comes up, you can check with us about a reschedule, but it is at our convenience and discretion, and the make-up class must be taken within 90 days, and contingent on the class being offered again in the future.
