Noro Haunui Cotton
Noro Haunui Cotton
Haunui Cotton is a unique combination of Noro's Haunui undyed wool (fusion of New Zealand Halfbred and Fine Romney stock) blended with dyed Australia Cotton, where each color plays with a different shade of Haunui - from beige to chocolate brown put up in a dragon egg ball. Soft & plush, this yarn is a pleasure to wear and to knit, as over 400 yards unfolds across your needles to create a shawl or accessory and the colors play with each other.
Another fun, unique use of natural fibers by Noro. From Takuo Noro: “I used six natural, undyed colors of Haunui wool as a base for this yarn. We added Australian cotton to this. This cotton is characterized by its distinctive white color that can be easily dyed. All dyed parts in the yarn are made of cotton and were dyed before twisting, with a few white cotton flakes also making it into the yarn.”
