Favorite Socks is a great beginner pattern for learning how to knit socks. Just about every knitter you meet will have a go-to “recipe” for knitting plain and simple socks.
These socks are knit cuff down, with a reinforced heel-flap and short row heel turn. If you’re new to knitting socks, this can sound intimidating. Fret not! Mandy will be on hand to walk you through the process step-by-step.
Cost of the class includes:
- Yarn (1 skein of Malabrigo Ultimate Sock - in your choice of in stock colors)
Materials needed for this class include:
- US 1.5 (2.5mm) 24-32" circulars, flyers, or double pointed knitting needles
- stitch marker
- scissors
- a tapestry needle
- a tape measure
This is an adventurous beginner class. Recommended skills needed before attempting this class:
- Knowing how to cast on, knit and purl stitches, and bind-off in the round.
Class is Thursday, March 21 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. with a follow-up on Thursday, March 28 at the same times.
Pattern and photos by Kristin Lehrer.
