Class: My First Doodle

Discover the fun and flexibility of Pacific Knit Co.’s Doodle patterns in this colorwork-focused class! We will guide you through the Doodle concept with expert tips and tricks, helping you create your own customized stranded knitting project. You’ll need a Doodle Deck or the Doodle Knit Directory book by Jamie Lomax, plus the cup cozy base pattern and DK weight yarn.

This class is designed for intermediate knitters who are comfortable knitting and purling, casting on and binding off, and working in the round. No prior stranded knitting experience is required.

HOMEWORK:  Please cast on and complete the ribbing for your chosen project before the first session so we can dive straight into the Doodle fun!  Ask us for the free pattern before you begin.

Cost of class does not include materials.  Yarn must be purchased from The Blue Ewe. Online registration is required - no walk-in students accepted.  This allows us to have all the necessary materials together for you and begin the class on time. 

Materials needed for this class include:

• US 5 (3.75mm) 9" circular needle, dpns, or flyers
• 2+ colorways of DK weight yarn (we can help you pick yarn that work)
• stitch marker(s)
• scissors
• a yarn/tapestry needle
• a tape measure

Recommended skills needed before attempting this class:

• Long tail cast on or thumb method cast on, knowing how to knit and purl stitches

Advanced registration required.  No walk-in students accepted.  Social Media "attending" does not register you for a class.

Classes are non-refundable, so please check your calendar to make sure you can make each meeting.  If something comes up, you can check with us about a reschedule, but it is at our convenience and discretion, and the make-up class must be taken within 90 days, and contingent on the class being offered again in the future.
